According to different damage mechanisms, the natural discharge phenomenon of lightning is manifested in two forms: “direct lightning” and “induced lightning”.

The so-called “induction lightning”: refers to the discharge of thunderclouds, in the vicinity of the conductor produced by electrostatic induction and electromagnetic induction phenomena called “induction lightning strike”. When lightning discharges between thunderclouds or from thunderclouds to the ground, it generates electrostatic and electromagnetic induction overvoltage on nearby conductors such as power lines, signal lines, buried pipelines, inter-equipment connecting wires and railroad rails, causing damage to electronic equipment connected in series in the middle of the line or at the end of the line.
