OMRDON Slim Series Signal Surge Protectors (SPD, Surge Protectors) are designed with 7mm ultra-thin housing, which does not take up installation space, and adopts direct plug-in cage terminals, which is very convenient for wiring without screwing and saves installation time.
This series of products is mainly applicable to the measurement and control system RS485/422 CAN bus, 4-20mA and other analog signals, switching signals line lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP) surge protection, installed in the lightning protection zone 1-2 and 2-3 zone.

Installation Precautions
1, this protector can be installed in zones 1-2 and 2-3, directly installed in series in the front of the protected equipment (or system), the closer the installation is to the protected equipment (or system), the better;
2、“In ”connecting the lead end, “OUT ”connecting the end of the protected equipment (or system), “1” and “3“ is a signal channel, ”2“ and ”4" is a signal channel. "1" and "3" is a signal channel, "2" and "4" is a signal channel. When installing the two ends of the line must be laid separately, not bundled together to prevent secondary induction phenomenon;
3. The lightning protector grounding is connected with the shortest possible wire. The protector is grounded by means of terminal grounding or through the DIN rail, and the grounding wire must be connected to the lightning protection ground (or chassis/cabinet enclosure). The shielded wire of the signal can be connected directly to the grounding terminal;
4, the lightning protector is installed under conditions that do not exceed the requirements is not required long-term maintenance, only routine maintenance of the system; such as in the process of use, signal transmission problems, change the surge protector after the signal transmission back to normal, indicating that the surge protector has been damaged, need to be repaired or replaced.
