OMS-RJ45/16/1000-ISO,OMS-RJ45/24/1000-ISO,16ch/24ch,CAT5E/CAT6 Isolated Gigabit Network Lightning Surge Protector for network switches, routers, industrial Ethernet, and other network communication links.
Product Overview
OMRDON 16-port/24-port Rack Mount Isolated Network Surge Protector (SPD) is a high-performance lightning protection device designed for Gigabit Ethernet (100/1000Mbps), which can be installed in a 19” standard cabinet. Strictly following the IEC and GB standards, it is suitable for the junction of Zone 1-2 and Zone 2-3 of the lightning protection zone, effectively defending against damage to sensitive network equipment caused by lightning induction, grid fluctuations, electrostatic discharges and load impact. Its unique isolation design provides strong surge protection while guaranteeing high-speed, lossless signal transmission, making it an ideal protection solution for data centers, enterprise networks, communication systems and other critical scenarios.
Functional Features:
✅ Dual protection mechanism
- Two-stage series composite protection: Low residual pressure and long life provide consistent protection.
- Triple protection for over-current, over-voltage and clamping: Extremely fast response (≤1ns), instantaneous suppression of surge impacts.
✅ High-speed network compatibility
- Support 1000Mbps Gigabit transmission, insertion loss ≤ 0.2dB, does not affect network speed and stability.
- Isolation voltage up to 1.5KVIt effectively isolates interfering signals and improves transmission quality.
✅ High reliability design
- Nominal discharge current 5KA, maximum through-current capacity 10KA (8/20μs), high protection capability.
- Sheet metal shielded enclosure, good anti-interference, support for 19 ”standard cabinet installation, horizontal/firm mounting can be installed flexibly.
✅ Plug-and-play, no impact on operation
- During thunderstorms, equipment does not need to be powered down and communications continue to run for seamless protection.
Typical Applications:
- Enterprise local area network (LAN), data center, server room network equipment
- Interface protection for network switches, routers, servers, firewalls, etc.
- Network communication links for monitoring systems, intelligent buildings, industrial Ethernet, etc.
- Outdoor network equipment for communication base stations, radio and television transmission systems, etc.

Installation and Wiring Guide
1. Installation location recommendations
- Deployed in series on protected equipmentRecent front-endThe signal path: Signal source (surge) → SPD input (IN) → SPD output (OUT) → protected equipment.
- Be sure to connect the wires according to the “IN” and “OUT” signs, and do not reverse the connection.
2. Grounding requirements
- Grounding wire cross section ≥ 2.5mm², grounding resistance ≤ 4Ω.
- The PE terminal must be equipotentially connected to the lightning protection ground or the equipment enclosure.
3. Maintenance tips
- No special maintenance is required, and it can be viewed in conjunction with routine system checks.
- If you find the network abnormal, try to remove the SPD temporarily, if it returns to normal then the SPD may be deteriorated and need to be replaced.
